we just got back from a fun-filled night in costa mesa with kevin and nina. we watched Avenue Q at the oc performing arts center. it's like sesame street for adults. i enjoyed it. i thought it was really upbeat and cleverly put together. they even sang a song about how everyone is a little bit racist. haha. ridiculous. after the show, we had dinner at tgif. yum!

jomarc and juper the runners

anthony and i went running at wilson park today. it was my first time working out since january. terrible! i did two laps and anthony did three. while we were there, we bumped into jomarc and juper! i didn't want to pick just one of them, and they were both willing to have their picture taken, so i took both! while i was trying to turn my camera on, i remembered that anthony took the battery out last night to charge it. doh! i had to use my phone's camera, which doesn't have flash. instead, jomarc came up with the bright idea (pun intended) of flashing my headlights at them. haha!

i spent my day at California Adventure with rianne and priscilla. fun! the whole trip was totally last-minute. i didn't find out i was going until last night.. and priscilla didn't know she was going until after rianne and i already left! jennifer felt so bad that silla didn't come with us that she drove all the way to disneyland to drop her off. what a mom! we had a good time, despite the fact that all the lines we stood in had the longest waits. haha. thanks for the free ticket, rianne/gus!

gail the early bird

after i took eva's picture last night, gail thought she was off the hook for being my face of the day. but then gen pointed out that it was already past midnight. haha! so she gets to be my earliest face of the day.. taken just minutes after the day started. (=

since the boys are going to mammoth early tomorrow morning, they are having a slumber party here at the house. so when the doorbell rang earlier, we were expecting to see jeric at the door. but we were surprised to see eva, gen, and gail as well! and then rianne and her friend ended up stopping by, too. and then kimmy gibbler came over next. get it? full house?

after having dinner at chipotle, we went to san pedro because, as usual, anthony was having jazmin-withdrawals. sometimes i wonder if he loves her more than he loves me. haha. sike! while we were there, grace was playing with face cream. she ended up looking like a geisha girl!

victoria the pianist

i picked victoria up from her piano lesson earlier. we stopped by my mom's house to say hello, and everyone was happy to see her. victoria and priscilla are so funny when they're together. while victoria was feeling embarassed about wearing a uniform, priscilla was busy changing into a plaid skirt to try to look like she was wearing one. haha. silly little women!

rianne the imitator

rianne and i went to the mall today. while i was paying for my goodies at forever 21, i asked the cashier if i could take her picture. she was really nice about it, but told me that she didn't think they were allowed to take pictures in the store. i said, "it's cool," and then just moved to the side while she started ringing rianne up. but then she asked, "does it have to be in the store? 'cause i can go outside if you want to take my picture out there." how nice! i said, "sure! if you can." so she handed rianne her receipt and then looked over at the other cashier and asked, "can you finish up?" the other cashier girl, who had no idea what we had been talking about, gave her a look like, "you must be crazy if you expect me to take over." so rianne and i just left. we waited outside for a little while because it really seemed like she wanted me to take her picture. but we finally left because there was a long line of customers that needed to be helped, and i didn't want her to feel pressured to come out. too bad!

i asked rianne to imitate the girl whose picture i was supposed to take. this is what she came up with. hahaha. the resemblance is uncanny!!!

petey the teapot

all day, i couldn't stop wishing that i was doing something funner. i like my job, i just wasn't in the mood for it today. so anyway, i stopped by marukai after work and bought three packs of googly eyes and six miniature teapots. here is the result. i'm not too happy with it yet. i think i'm going to make my own eyes, and possibly add mouths and/or moustaches. haha. i told you i was feeling crafty!

scary picture, i know. but this is what happens when i'm left at home alone with the house to myself. haha. anthony went snowboarding today. plus, it was too cold and windy out so i didn't feel like going anywhere. instead, i played with makeup and tried on all my clothes. and yes, jenn, i am wearing your bridesmaid dress. weeeeee!

today we went to royal/t's mad tea party, where guests (except us) dressed up like characters from alice in wonderland. it was very cute! i didn't get to ask the white rabbit what her name was, so i'll just call her bonnie. (=

anyway, i enjoyed the venue a lot. being there made me want to dress up all girly and make crafts. lets!

virgil the weirdo

i stopped by virgil's house earlier to do some work and eat lunch. as he was walking me out to my car, i noticed a little surprise on my windshield. jenn and mark left one of their save the dates! i asked virgil to hold the postcard up so i could take a picture of him to send to jenn. and after digging around in my purse to find my phone, i looked up and saw him holding the postcard in his mouth. he's such a weirdo. haha. no matter what you ask him to do, he'll always do it in the most ridiculous way possible.

denise and i had dinner at seafood town. right before we left, i walked over to one of the waiters to ask if i could take his picture. he got all nervous, glanced over at his boss, and told me to take a picture of him instead. i looked over at his boss (who looked like the scariest, meanest boss ever) and got scared myself. i said, "YOU ask him if i can take his picture!" and he said, "NOOO!" and then ran away. haha. so i nervously went up the the big boss to ask him for the favor. and though he started off all tough, he ended up being a sweetie! i guess i just blew his cover. woopsies!

we finally tried the infamous kogi korean bbq tacos today. but instead of going to one of their taco trucks, we went to the alibi room thinking it would be easier. WRONG. it was so crazy in there, and it took us forever to order/get our food. but the tacos were good, and the night was fun.. so no more complaining. i did accidentally eat half a beef taco, though. woops!

tomorrow alex leaves for brazil. looks like he's already dreaming about his trip! adios amigo!

happy st patrick's day!

after working in cerritos today, i went to hang out at my parents' house, where everyone was wearing green! i wonder if meli was like, "what the heck is going on here?" anyway, we spent an hour watching videos on youtube. i am currently addicted to watching makeup tutorials, videos of animals talking, communitychannel, happyslip, and rin on the rox. haha. don't hate!

james the boss

today we celebrated my boss' birthday, which was on february 4th. ha! if you recall, that was around the time i was super busy with work.. so that's why we waited so long to celebrate. anyway, we threw him a surprise dinner at Elephant Bar. his son, who is a miniature version of him, also joined us.

when we were still working in irvine, james used to come to my office and ask me to make origami t-shirts. i think i made enough for every person who worked in the building, because he wanted to give them out as gifts. wow. taking orders from a little kid? yes, boss.

meli the brat

i finally went to go visit meli. i think she gets mad at me when i go a few days without seeing her, because she always acts like a brat when i first greet her. here in this picture, she is pretending not to notice me. a couple minutes after this, she hissed at me and attempted to scratch my face. but then after i scolded her and told her she was not nice, she followed me down the stairs and sat on my lap. what a lovely relationship.

anthony rented season one of jon & kate plus 8 for me, so i spent much of tonight watching it. i had already seen most of the episodes on the disc, but i watched them again anyway. i love this show! i think the whole family is so cute. but then i started looking stuff up on google, and i found all this news about jon cheating on kate. what the heckkkk. what is this garbage?

debbie the massage victim

today, my two girl coworkers and i went to get massages. we make our company treat us after we finish big projects. haha. we went to fullerton college's massage school, where you can get a one hour massage for $25. i enjoyed my massage, but debbie was in pain during hers. at one point during the massage, the masseuse was digging her knuckles into the side of debbie's leg. it hurt so much that she started crying. she wanted to scream, but since the entire room was silent, she just stayed quiet. hahaha! we were cracking up when she was telling us about it afterwards. poor thing!

vanessa the ducks fan

i went to my very first sporting event today. christine, jimmy, rianne, and i went to the honda center to watch the ducks vs the canucks. funnn! there was an older lady sitting directly behind us who was rooting for the canucks. she kept yelling out annoying things, making me want to cheer for the ducks even more. haha. the game went into overtime, and the ducks won 4-3! yay!

my day was uneventful. i ate leftover pizza for dinner tonight. while i was warming up a slice, i noticed that the mascot for little caesar's is really weird looking.

..not loser as in someone who sucks, but loser as in someone who lost a contest. haha. the homies came over to finalize the 'save the date' cards, and nobody wanted to volunteer to be today's face. jenn drew the shortest straw. sorry, love.

what a lazy day. the majority of my time today was spent sleeping. the only reason i woke up is because kevin called from church wondering if we were there, too. thanks, alarm clock! we rushed over to san pedro for mass as fast as we could, but were still 20 minutes late. terrible! we went to visit the familia afterwards, where i forced chad to pose for today's picture. and since i forced him, he decided to capture a hostage of his own. the result is a photo that lacks enthusiasm, much like my day. haha.

earlier today anthony told me that he was gonna go watch the rampage fight at his friend's house. i was like, "great. i'm gonna have a boring night." but THEN, i got a phone call from priscilla, who was in the same predicament as i was. soooo, i went to pick her up and our boredom turned into awesomeness! yay! when she was getting picked up from my house at the end of the night, i went outside to the car to take ryan's picture. he didn't really have much of an explanation as to why i wanted to take his picture, hence the surprised look on his face. haha.

just before leaving cerritos today, christine called and asked if i wanted to have dinner. we couldn't agree on where to eat, so we decided to meet at Tam's Pizzeria in bellflower. but we ended up going back to cerritos anyway, where we had dinner at Thai BBQ and boba at Dolphin Bay. we got back to tam's just before closing time, which meant juan was getting ready to mop the floor. every time i'm there, christine and i always seem to mess up the floor right after he cleans it. tonight was no exception. haha. sorry, juan!

nina the earring dropper

there is an unexplained phenomenon going on in the life of nina. her earrings keep disappearing! we all went to Lucky Strike tonight to watch ron's band perform. and somewhere during the night, nina just happened to notice that her earring on was the floor. haha! what's going on with those ears of yours, nina?!

rianne the souper

so as promised, i took rianne to olive garden to get our faaavorite soup. we each had three bowls of zuppa toscana. yum! during dinner while i had a mouth full of soup, rianne started telling me this hilarious story about a girl she used to work with. had i spit my food all over her face, this picture would've been a lot more interesting, yes? jay kay jay kay.

this makes me a bad wife, doesn't it? i need to start taking pictures earlier in the day. i always forget, and then anthony ends up being the only one around at 11:59 pm.

today was rianne's birthday. look who came into town to help her celebrate! gus looks quite happy, doesn't he? we were supposed to have dinner at Olive Garden, but for the billionth time in a row, we ended up at TGIF instead. my family doesn't like to wait 45 minutes for a table, so we always go to the restaurant next door. what a tease. happy birthday anyway, rianne. lets go to Olive Garden tomorrow!
