mickey's halloween party

we were so excited because today was mickey's halloween party! it was cold and rainy, and reese was bad-to-the-bone, but we still had a lot of fun. our costumes were so tame compared to others so next year we need to step our game up!

anthony's mom came home from her trip today. we had dinner at magic wok.

i went back to work today but anthony took the whole week off so he could spend more time with the babe. they went to swim class and the park. lucky boys!

pali lookout

aww our last day! after checking out of the hotel, anthony got himself a poke bowl and then we headed over to pali lookout. on our way out, they blocked the road heading towards honolulu so we were forced to drive towards kailua, without any chance to turn around for miles. we made the most of the inconvenience by just driving the extra few miles and getting one last order of pancakes from boots & kimos! what a treat. haha. we picked up our lunch at helena's and some spanish bread from nanding's bakery and then finally headed to the airport to wait for our flight. the whole trip went by too fast but we had a great time! it was such an easy place to bring reese. thanks for the memories, oahu!!

ko olina and waikiki

we spent most of the afternoon at aulani/ko olina. the whole beach is lined with beach chairs and umbrellas so it was nice to be able to lounge without getting all sandy. we walked around waikiki during sunset and took some nice family pictures with diamond head in the background. we had our last dinner at kua aina. can't believe the trip is almost over! it went by tooo fast.

east and north

today was delicious. anthony and i both agree that the reason we love hawaii so much is because all we do is sit on the beach and eat great food. for breakfast we headed out to kailua for boots n kimos. the pancakes were just as good as i remembered. we hung out at lanikai beach for a while after that. the waves were fairly strong so it was kinda scary to swim with reese. he ended up playing with the sand again. after cleaning off we continued our drive along the windward coast and stopped at chinaman's hat to take some pictures. i prefer the view opposite of chinaman's hat. it's so pretty! we got some good photos and then continued our drive to kahuku where we had the best meal of the trip: romy's garlic shrimp! love it! we made a quick stop in haleiwa and then just finished the drive along the coast before cutting down the island to head back to honolulu. the waves we saw during the drive were huge!! kinda scary actually. haha. we meant to get some fried noodles in waipahu, but ended up getting some really good filipino food at elena's instead. we ate it back at the hotel and then just lounged around the rest of the night. also, we were upgraded to a newly renovated room because we complained that the old room felt dirty. the new room is so much better!

beach time

we woke up feeling much better today. sleep does a body good! we spent the whole day in the waikiki/honolulu area. after eating lunch (poke for anthony and zippy's for reese and me) we picked up some boba and then finally made our way to ala moana beach to enjoy the water. reese had so much fun! he was happy to be swimming but was very confused about why the water was so salty. haha. he also got a little braver with the sand. he will play with it as long as he doesn't have to sit directly on it. later in the evening, we walked over to the hilton hawaiian village to have dinner with anthony's old coworker and her cousin. it was a 3 mile walk round trip, but i love walking around hawaii at night because the warm air feels so nice.

aloha

aloha!!! our day didn't go exactly as planned. the airline lost reese's car seat and it took foreverrrr to get our rental car. we were so hungry and tired! it worked out for the best, though, because we just used the day to relax. we walked along waikiki, where reese was afraid of the sand. and then we just went to ala moana to walk around a bit more. nothing too exciting but we are super excited to be here! the weather is perfect!

new stroller

this picture was taken on the 19th but i found this stroller on craigslist so anthony went to pick it up. it's a sturdier umbrella stroller that will make traveling so much easier. plus it was only $40, as opposed to $140 brand new! i love craigslist!

6/16 year anniversary

today we celebrated 6 years of marriage and 16 years of being together. i love my anthony and our sweetie pie, too. 

busy sunday

after the marathon, we went out to cerritos for mikey's 6th birthday party at chuck e cheese. next up was reese's swimming class. and then to finish it off we went to hawthorne for patricia's first birthday party. it was an eventful day but we had lots of fun.

looking at old pics. can't believe how much he's grown. a year ago he still liked being swaddled. he still had a gummy smile. time flies.
