more of my cousins from australia are here in town, so today we had a big family dinner at macaroni grill in cerritos. it was so cute for all the miniature cousins to finally meet each other. sebastian and isabella have the cutest australian accents. they sound like peppa pig and george! haha.

my immediate reaction when i saw what they were doing was to scream at the top of my lungs, but then i remembered that i used to do this when i was a kid, too. i took a chill pill and they had fun being ridiculous.

they were watching snaps of baby wren over and over haha. and even though she is not a baby anymore (and actually even older than weston) they still call her BABY wren.

we took our little star wars fan to watch rogue one. all three of us really liked it!

and that big ol' bag i'm holding was carrying our dinner which we picked up right before the movie started. we knew there was no outside food allowed and joked that we would be stopped by security before entering the theater. turns out that there WAS a person there checking bags. anthony and i were both screaming on the inside but i just played it dumb when the girl asked if she could look inside my bag. i excitedly said like, "yeah!". she was SO cool. she looked inside, pointed the flashlight right at our food, and just said, "great! thanks!" and then she pulled out her ticket scanner so i wouldn't have to be questioned by the other person standing there. haha. good lookin' out, girlfriend!!

i ordered some daily picture calendars from socialprintstudio.com for the boys' grandparents. they turned out really cool!

reesey's preschool had their Christmas program this morning. their theme was "Christmas on the farm," so his class sang "hickory dickory dock." here's the little mouse.

and finally, here is the real reason we all decided to take a trip into SF.. to meet toni and vince's new bundle of joy. we actually booked the trip a couple weeks before he was even born, not knowing that we would be recovering from an annoying case of bronchitis. we were all pretty much back to normal. i even went to urgent care a couple days before the trip to get a thumbs up from a dr. but in the end, we had to nix our plans of spending the weekend cuddling this cutie, and settled with a quick hour before our flight back home on sunday night, when the first-time-parents were feeling more comfortable with the idea of us bringing our germs into their home. haha.

we still didn't let the boys get too close, aside from taking these pictures. and yes, i was honestly super bummed, but i came to terms with it after we got back home. i was so annoyed that we had to get sick. but i figured that God knows what He was doing, and probably just has something better planned for some quality time with my blueberry. and we ended up having a fun, laid back family getaway.

p.s. i am still not used to the idea of calling him anything other than blueberry, which is what tina and i have been referring to him as for the past 7 months. kaleb james who???

academy of sciences

for today's adventure, we brought the boys to the academy of sciences because they requested to see dinosaurs. their reaction was priceless. weston was in absolute awe. and the look on reese's face when we first walked in through the entrance doors was absolutely perfect. he lit up with joy and pulled me down so he could whisper in my ear, "i'm going to work here." hahahah. lovvvve!!

they also requested to see some animals, so they especially enjoyed the "african hall" which is actually the same room where carla's wedding dinner reception was held in!



and here they are monkeying around upstairs on the "living roof." super cool. i'm glad everyone enjoyed our day at the museum. money well spent!

lovely day in the bay

our first stop of the day was to have an early lunch at san tung for some delicious dry fried chicken. i've been craving that stuff for almost a year now! we really lucked out because we were able to find a parking spot and also got seated right before the lunch rush. food was really good!

after lunch, we took a walk in search of some boba. the boys loved their strawberry milk.

next, we drove over to golden gate park where the boys had fun running around.

SFO here we come

now that weston is 2, we can no longer get away with buying just 3 airline tickets. but the plus side is that we're forced to be split up for seating, which means less chance of drama between the boys, which means less chance* of a screaming meltdown in the middle of the stratosphere.

* less chance is not to be confused with unlikely as probability is still very high.
