New Year's Eve

2015 was a great year. Happy new year to all!

Dinner with Auntie Gennie

The boys and I were finally able to spend some time with Auntie Gennie at blenders! I typically don't like them walking around when we're out to eat, but it was empty today so I was like, "Whatever. Do what you want." They're lucky their auntie is so patient! Haha.

Smarty pants

Reese amazes me with his knowledge. Today he was rambling on about a dodecahedron, which I just learned is a shape with 12 sides. What the heck.

Bottomless pit

Anthony has the whole week off, so he gets to spend lots of time with the boys. I don't know how he's going to find enough food to feed this bottomless pit! This guy never stops eating.

Christmas with the homies

Our annual Christmas get-together just keeps getting bigger and bigger! So much fun. The more, the merrier!

Star Wars

Throughout the day, Anthony and I kept talking about how we wanted to go watch Star Wars at night. We finally packed everybody up, and then right before we got to Lala's house to drop the boys off, Reese goes, "Which theater are we going to?" We felt so guilty and ended up bringing him along, which actually turned out to be a lot more fun. Haha. I don't know we didn't even consider it before then.

Mejia Family Christmas

Our mejia family Christmas was pajama-themed this year. As you can see, the top half are quite fancy when they go to bed.

Christmas brunch

RiAnne and Johnny cooked up a delicious Christmas brunch for us this morning. Next year I have to remember to take more pics!

Reese got to spend the day at daddy's work! They even walked down to the beach and ate Bruxie for lunch. I'm jealous.

Emily's 3rd birthday

Today we celebrated Emily's 3rd birthday at their new house! And then we celebrated inside the new house inside the new house. :)

This is Weston's funny face. He says, "heeeeey," and then does this. It cracks me up. And I didn't even realize that he had a giant booger hanging from his nose until I took this. Nothing grosses me out anymore. Typical day in the life with two disgusting boys. jk.

SFO

It's been soooo long since Tina and I have had any QT, so since flights were cheap, I flew in just for the day to hang out without any distractions (aka kids). It felt so weird to not take care of the boys! For instance, Toni and I ate ramen for lunch, and for once it didn't matter that there was an hour wait. There is no way I could get away with waiting one hour for a table with two hungry/irritable little boys in tow. Haha. But yeah, we had lots of fun and everything (aside from a delayed flight in) just totally worked out in our favor. I even had front row seats to the meteor shower tonight! And I wasn't even supposed to be on that particular flight. Just a lucky day with my dear Tina!

Aerin's bday party

Today we went to aerin's 1st bday party out in hacienda. They had a magician, face painter, balloon artist, and photo booth. Fancy!

Belly button

Weston was quite amused with his discovery.

Hi Reese

We've been battling an annoying sickness for about a month now. We get better, and then it comes back again. It's been pretty mild for me and Wes, but Reese gets it the worst. I feel so sad for him. The past couple days have been bad but today he looked and felt a lot better. :)

Dancing machine

'Uptown Funk' is STILLLLL on heavy rotation at home. Both boys still get excited every single time it plays, even if it's the fourth time in a row. The only time Weston actually prefers to wear a hat is when he's dancing to it.

Tree is up

I put the tree up last night after the boys went to sleep and it was so cute to see their reactions this morning. I had to decorate it differently this year to make it Weston-proof. A lot of the stuff (including the topper) aren't even real ornaments, but they are surviving his destructive behavior so far.

Prison

Look at these mama's boys! I love it and hate it at the same time. It's especially hard because they don't like to share me. They get jealous of each other if I'm attending to the other. We had dinner with some mejias at guppy's and they both insisted on sitting on my lap!!! Reese refused to get off from the start. And Weston was fine in his high chair for a while, but then started complaining and nothing else would calm him down. I finally just took him and then he immediately stopped crying and started laughing. Venus snapped this shot. So cute and funny, yet so annoying. Might as well handcuff me to these boys because that's what it feels like. Even feeding myself is hard!

Chuck e cheese

We had a busy day but I forgot to take pics. Here we celebrated Paige and Alani's birthday at chuck e cheese!

Other birthday

We used to call it "fake", but today is actually my mom's legal birthday. There was a clerical error when she came to the US, so today is the day that she has spent celebrating her birthday with coworkers for many, many years. So we like to make it a point to acknowledge it at home, too.

Penelope

Today I finally got to meet baby Penny!! I was so excited to meet her and chat with her mommy and daddy. It's funny because I missed her so much even though I hadn't met her yet. She didn't disappoint. Congrats, Alex and Gen!

Mad again

This morning he was mad because I was singing along to the radio but the singer was a guy, so apparently I'm not allowed.

And then in the evening he was mad because Anthony and I wouldn't agree with him that chimpanzees become gorillas when they're older. 

Stink face

This guy! Always with the stink face! He gets mad at the simplest things. Today he was mad because I told him to tell me when he's done eating so I could put the food away. He responded, "I'm mad!" I asked, "why?"

"Because I'm not done."

Geez. Save the drama for your mama. I mean your dada. 

Brunch and Boba

Today RiAnne treated all of us to brunch at george and the dragon. (RiAnne and Silla stay ready.)

And then after dropping everyone else at home, Silla drove us to uptown to see the giant spoon/cherry and to check out their new boba shop. Super cute!

We had such a fun trip! Thanks for being such great hosts. We love you and miss you already!

More fun

Today Silla took us to her favorite coffee shop. It was such a cute and cozy place!

Then we took some pictures outside for our Christmas cards. Look at Serena's beautiful makeover. Eyebrows NOT on fleek!

And then Jennifer treated all the adults (minus Auntie the babysitter) to a delicious dinner at a popular restaurant in downtown Minneapolis!
