video

anthony and i made a video for serena because she's the only one (aside from russell, obviously) who we can't keep in touch with through texts, blogs, facebook, instagram, or emails. we always want to facetime her, but since they're two hours ahead of us, it always feels too late by the time we're home from work. we have a couple videos that she's sent to us, which we watch over and over everyday. so we thought it was time to send her one of us. haha. it's pretty boring to anyone else, but we know she's going to like it! =P

party in my tummy

i had an uneventful day, unlike baby reese! oh my goodness. i seriously feel like he's been moving nonstop all day!!! what the heck is going on in there?

the essentials

after rianne, christine, sebastian, and i had lunch at versailles, we went to target so i could finish our baby registry. the last time anthony and i tried to figure out what to register for, we were so overwhelmed with all the baby stuff. thankfully, chris offered to help out! after looking at this picture, though, i'm not so sure i can trust her. haha. just kidding. we all wandered into the easter section and kept picking up unnecessary items and asking each other, "why do i want this?" here's just some of the things we had to convince each other to put back down. even sebastian has our problem!!!

screening party

chad made a video montage of uncle manny's 50th birthday party, so we had his screening party at our house tonight. aside from some technical difficulties in the beginning, he did a great job.

no mas bobas

this is not a very interesting picture, but that's only because i was enjoying my chocolate snow bubble too much to stop and take a picture.

target

target is so cute. i like the trees they had hanging in the outdoorsy section.

working from home

i took the longer version of the glucose test this morning. i was afraid that i was going to have a bad reaction like last time, so anthony took the morning off to drop me off and pick me up from my appointment. but aside from being poked with a needle three additional times, it actually went better than last week. i wasn't all jittery at the lab, and i didn't get all weak and feverish afterwards. i still decided to work from home for the rest of the day, though, and it was good because i ended up knocking out on the couch for four hours once the sugar crash hit. haha. i miss having that kind of flexibility that comes with working from home.

baby anthony

when i checked my email this morning, i found this super cute picture from anthony's mom. it was taken right from the hospital. when i asked anthony if he knew who it was, he unintentionally made the exact same facial expression while he was trying to figure out. haha! i actually feel like my baby pictures look kinda like this, too. i hope reese is just as cute!

no sweets for my sweet

i got a depressing call from the doctor's office today. i FAILED my glucose screening test, so i have to go back and take the 3 hour test now. ugh!!!!! i had a terrible reaction to the 1 hour test, so i can't imagine how much more miserable this next one is going to be. i was super bummed, even cried while i was telling my coworkers. haha. what a baby! i was all glum and quiet when i got home from work, too. anthony kept trying to cheer me up, but i couldn't snap out of it. but THEN, i happened to see that anthony brought reese's crib into the house. we picked it up from the store last weekend, but it's just been sitting in the garage since the room is not ready yet. i don't know why, but seeing it inside the house made me smile so big. haha. it's not even assembled or anything. the crib is in the box and the mattress is wrapped in plastic, but i don't know. it still made my day! thanks, baby reese!

p.s. we named him a couple days after we found out he was a boy, but i've held back on mentioning it here. it's not a secret or anything, but i'm not sure if people think it's creepy to refer to a bun in the oven by name. we call him by name all the time, when talking to him and about him. it's starting to feel unnatural to NOT use his name on this blog.. so there you have it! baby reese! yes, like the peanut butter cups!

another medal

here's anthony and his blimp-ish wife after his 13.1 mile run. yay! his final time was 1:59, which was 2 minutes short of his goal. but it's okay. he was actually smiling when crossing the finish line this time. usually he looks terrible, like he's in pain. hahaha! he felt good afterwards, too, and said he could keep running if he wanted to. plus, this was his first hilly course (which he wasn't expecting) so 2 minutes is no big deal. i'm proud of him! hurray for another medal!

rock 'n' roll fitness expo

anthony and i went to the fitness expo at the pasadena convention center this afternoon to pick up his packet for tomorrow's race. this half marathon is part of the rock 'n' roll series, so they had these funny elvis wigs at the photo booth station. haha.

breakfast with tina

tina and her friend, lisa, spent the night last night, so they treated me out to breakfast this morning! i'm clearly not a morning person. i'm surprised my vampire skin didn't burn up at sunrise! anyway, i was happy to see the pepper to my salt. =P

scary auntie

sebastian had lunch with scary auntie karen. haha. i love to tease him. at least his mom and i had a nice time!

j lounge

the boys went to a wrestling event after work today, so i hung out at jenn's house. we had flautas for dinner and then just lounged on the couch watching tv. cozy!

not so stacked

gennie and i had a small dinner at stacked tonight. i really had to hold back on what i ate because i'm taking my glucose screening test tomorrow morning. i really wish i could've had something sweet, but it's okay. i didn't mind settling for sweet gennie instead! haha.

valentine's date

we had a nice date at le creperie in downtown long beach tonight. anthony tried making reservations last week, but they told him they were all full. i really wanted to eat there, though, so we decided to just try our luck and hope the wait wasn't too long. luckily for us, there was no wait at all! i had a feeling that would happen 'cause the one we went to is always way less crowded than the one in belmont. anyway, our food was really good and dessert was even better! we split the "napoleon" which is basically a creme brulee with strawberries in crepe form. delish! hope you all had a happy valentine's day, too!

steamy dinner

anthony wanted ramen for dinner so we went to yamadaya. it was sooo cold while we were outside waiting for a table. and then once we were seated, it was soooo warm! haha. the whole restaurant was steamy since they were boiling huge vats of soup in the kitchen. we went home smelling like our food!

fish's wild

we had lunch with my parents and rianne today. we went to fish's wild and it was really tasty! i know i just ate seafood yesterday, but i'm allowed to eat it twice a week.. and i usually save it for the weekends. all five of us ordered a different dish so we could taste a bunch of things off the menu. yum yum yum! thanks for lunch, mommy and daddy!

boiling crab

i've been craving boiling crab for a while now so we finally went to the one in alhambra. they quoted us about 1.5-2 hours, but we only ended up waiting an hour. not too bad. it was worth it because the shrimp was yummay! anthony's mom treated us, too! suh-weet!!

panini

anthony and i went to panera for dinner tonight. in addition to my bowl of clam chowder, i ordered a full panini thinking i could always eat my leftovers for lunch tomorrow. well, after taking a couple bites of my sandwich i was not impressed. haha. it came with mustard, which both of us don't like. anthony kept wanting to complain or try to get a new sandwich because it didn't mention mustard anywhere on the menu. i was already full from my soup, though, and the store was about to close so we were both just like, "forget it." but THEN, i remembered that gennie lovvvvves paninis! haha. she was at work, which is just a couple miles away from panera so we decided to drop it off to her. and she liked it! it wasn't a waste afterall! haha. we felt so much better!

russy poo

jennifer posted this picture of russy on instagram today and i was blown away at how big he's gotten already. oh my goodness!!! he's so cute and i can't wait to squeeze him in a few more weeks!

chocolate eclair

wow, i'm blogging about sweets two days in a row! don't worry (mommy), i promise i'm eating healthy. i've been much better at controlling my sugar intake while i'm at work, so i reward myself after dinner. today i had a chocolate eclair. even though i've loved this ice cream since i was a kid, i don't have it very often. so when i do have it, it's such a treat!

tj macarons

when rianne and i went to trader joe's the other day, i picked up some of these yummy macarons. i was so excited on my drive home from work today because i couldn't wait to eat them! i ate 5! haha. they're so good.

haha i didn't realize my shirt was tucked in earlier, so when i saw my belly in the mirror i was like, "whoa!" it still catches me off guard sometimes.

super sunday

haha.. i stole this picture off of carla's facebook, but i wanted to share the good news! we kept playing phone tag earlier. i noticed her missed call right when i got to macaroni grill, so i tried calling her back before i went into the restaurant. she didn't answer. it went back and forth, and then three calls later we finally connected and she shared her exciting news that geof just proposed!!! ahhhhhhhh!!!! i'm so happy and excited for them!!! best superbowl sunday evarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

sage

sage & co. were in town eating dinner at macaroni grill. i just finished eating at home before they invited me to join, but i met up with them anyway for some calamari and dessert. it's been a while since i've seen sage, and she was cuter than ever, but i was afraid that holding her would worsen my already aching back. i hope to see her again soon, and hopefully by then i'll get used to carrying this heavy baby boy in my belly.

lovely saturday

it was such a nice day! the weather was perfect. rianne and i went to redondo beach so she could pick up her race packet for the 10k she is running tomorrow! after that, we got some tasty smoothies at jamba juice, stopped by trader joes to pick up some goodies, and then browsed around salvation army to look for anything cute. i was tempted to buy this globe that i found in the boutique section, but ended up putting it back. luckily rianne reminded me that i could still enjoy it by taking a picture of it. now it's mine forever! (=

downtown brea

we missed nina's birthday a couple weeks ago so we wanted to take her and kevin out to celebrate. we met up in brea where we had dinner at the new bruxie and then got dessert from merely sweets. the waffles were tasty and the dessert shop was so cute! it was a fun night!

jamba juice

we had to go to the mall to return something earlier, so i jumped at the opportunity to grab a peach pleasure from jamba juice. yum!!

date with sebastian

sebastian's parents had a date tonight, which meant i had a date with him! they were so nervous for me, but he was such a good boy the whole time. he could care less that they were gone! haha.
