Memorial Day

We had so much fun hanging out with our cousins today! The kids played with their cousins while I chatted with mine haha.

Avalanche

Today at soccer class they played a game called Avalanche. Basically the two coaches stood on the sides and kicked "snow balls" and the little "penguins" had to run up and down the court while trying  to avoid getting hit. If they got hit, they became a snow monster and then joined on the sidelines until all the penguins were eliminated. In both rounds, Reese was the last penguin. It was so much pressure for him to run back and forth over and over (because he was really good at dodging) while everyone tried to hit him! Sheesh! Instead of just declaring him the winner, it was like torture! It felt like a fight to the death, "Finish him!!!" Hahaha. I could tell he was super stressed out and fighting back his tears. And the other parents started to sense it, too, so we were all cheering for him telling him he was doing a great job. But it was tense. When he finally got hit, he just let it all out and started crying. It was so sad but so cute because I understood exactly how he felt. Crazy Avalanche!!!

Sneaky snackers

Whose idea was it to put snacks right by the register at the customer service counter at target?? I brought the boys along to pick up an online order, and there were some issues with the computer system. What should've taken a couple minutes ended up taking foreverrrr, and these two boys were getting impatient just sitting there not being able to explore the whole store. Next thing I know, I look over at them and they are eating Oreos. Omg.

Today is the day! Reese is officially 4! We celebrated with a super fun night at Medieval Times with Auntie RiAnne!

Too many pictures to sort through from today's festivities but I'm so happy that Reese was happy with his simple birthday party at the park. He got all of his requests fulfilled: a party at a park (with his friends), hamburgers for lunch, candy for dessert, and a 4 for decoration. Unfortunately his giant 4 balloon from Auntie RiAnne flew away as soon as the party started. Womp womp! But he had a great time. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us!!!

While I was folding laundry, Weston came in and built a barricade around himself using all the big toys and then just starting saying, "Cheeeeese!" Anthony said, "It's because he knew you would want a picture!"

Mother's Day

I didn't even get a single picture with my boys today. Can you buleeeh dat?! Haha. Nevertheless, I had a simply lovely Mother's Day with lots of sweet gestures from these three. I love being a mom and like to spend my Mother's Day thanking God for even blessing me with the privilege. Love these boys of mine (even though the one on the right is shooting me with his water gun while this pic was being taken)!
