brownie sundaes

anthony and i saw a commercial for red lobster earlier and said, "ooh, we haven't been there in a while." right at the same time, my mom called to tell me she wanted to come over to see the baby. perfect! we snuck away for a "quick" dinner. we were excited to eat there, but the food and service ended up being lousy! haha! it took foreverrrr! at least our brownie sundaes were good!

sometimes reese is just sweetest thing ever! haha. lately he has been so happy. even when he's SOOO sleepy, he still likes to keep peeking his eyes open to smile at me all the way 'til he falls asleep. haha. it is SO cute!

brick toast

since reesey was enjoying himself at my parents' house, anthony and i took advatage of the situation and snuck away for a bit. we went to guppy's for some chicken wings and brick toast! anthony was excited 'cause it was the first time we had a whole brick toast to ourselves. he usually only gets one bite.

target therapy

i left the boys at home with a bottle of milk, and then i enjoyed some alone time at target! i stayed there until it closed!

olive garden lunch

rianne was in the mood for something delicious for lunch, so off to olive garden we went. she even treated me. sweet and sweet!

visiting anthony

reese and i went to visit anthony at his work today. anthony didn't tell any of his coworkers that we were coming, so once we walked in the door they were so excited that they attacked us like a swarm of bees. haha. luckily, reese had just woken up from a nap so he was in a friendly mood. we stayed until he cried. and by then it was too late for anthony to take a nice picture of the two of them sitting at his desk. oh well.

we stopped by the flower district yesterday to pick up two new orchid plants. orchids always make me happy!

i haven't been in the best mental state these past few days. i've been really worried about reese, so much so that i think it's affecting my judgment. stress+sleep deprivation=problems. i don't know what's normal anymore. i'm going crazy. we had an eventful morning, but after going back home i just ended up stressing out again, so i left the two boys at home and just needed to get out by myself for a while to clear my head. i ended up going to babies r us. haha.. so much for "ME" time. anyway, i wanted to buy reese an activity mat because he's been watching a lot of tv lately. thankfully he seems to enjoy it!

auntie rianne

the doctor wanted to see reese today after i called to let them know about his strange behavior. so far they think he looks okay, but they did some blood work to rule out some potential issues. poor baby. thankfully auntie rianne was available to come with us, because this is all a bit too much for me to handle.

reese had a very scary episode today, but luckily jenn and my parents came to the rescue to keep me sane! jenn and i ended up having dinner at fish bonz.

i walked into the living room earlier and found these three couch potatoes lounging around. haha.

2 months

someone turned two months old today! we took him to his "well baby" check up this morning and his doctor said everything looks good! he was in the 25th percentile this time for height, weight, and head! i totally thought he was bigger than that! actually, i looked up the numbers when we got home and found that he is the perfectly average size of a 2 month old baby girl. haha. anyway, he also had his vaccinations this morning. i was more bothered than he was. i couldn't even watch! he was already done crying as soon as anthony hugged him, but i was still pouting. he might be petite in stature, but he is one tough boy!

back home

silla is going back home to minnesota tomorrow. boohoo!!!! we had a going-away lunch for her at back home in lahaina. i wish they would all move BACK HOME IN CALIFORNIA.

more crepes

friday the 13th was a nightmare! jk. but i did i have another looooong day with the little boy. i feel like he cried pretty much all morning and afternoon. at 4:00 i asked my mom to come over so i could take a shower. my dad brought dinner a little later. phew! thanks, parents! later, i told anthony that i wanted to get out of the house, so we drove out to beverly hills one more time for more crepes. so good!

mama's boy

i spent most of my afternoon on the couch because that's all the little boy wanted to do. this was the only way he could fall asleep! what a weirdo.

getting bigger

reese is 8 weeks today. the first picture was about 6 weeks ago. look how big he's getting! makes me =) and =( at the same time.

fun in the sun

in an attempt to soak up some vitamin D, reese and i hung out in the sun for a few minutes this morning. we had so much fun.

today we went to paradis in belmont shore to get some yummy ice cream. silla went there with her uncle a couple weeks ago and wanted us to try it, too. i got oreo and salted caramel. their ice cream is really creamy!

happiest baby on the block

reese is still being fussy. my mom and silla came over for a couple hours earlier, so that was helpful.. but sometimes while i'm alone with the fussy baby i seriously feel like i'm gonna go crazy! i'm constantly on baby websites trying to figure out what could be causing his discomfort, or trying to figure out how long this will last. even with his fussiness, i still think he is the cutest and sweetest thing ever. and i know time is going to fly (even though the days can totally drag while i'm alone with him) and i'm not going to remember the hard parts.. just the sweet parts! but yeah, i mostly feel bad for HIM. i feel guilty when he cries. so anyway, today after dinner i went to the bookstore to buy the happiest baby on the block, which is a short film created by a pediatrician to show parents how to calm their babies down. we were laughing while watching it because all the fussy babies were exactly like reese. i hope these techniques work for us!

bing and bong

reese LOVES these two little bears that hang from the canopy in his playpen. we named them bing and bong. no matter how fussy he's being, as soon as he sees them he will smile! sometimes the smile only lasts a few seconds (once he remembers what he was fussing about), but when he's calm he loves to just lay under them and stare. i even came up with a jingle that i sing everytime he smiles at them. "bing and bong are your best friends!" sounds silly and everyone makes fun of it, but it's the truth!

independence day

happy fourth of july! my independence day was not very independent, because a certain little boy was VERY dependent on me. mister reese was fussy. ay yi yi. anthony worked hard on the yard while reese and i hung out in the house all day long. oh well. we can watch the fireworks next year when reese will actually be able to enjoy it.

waffles

since rianne and anthony both got out of work early today, we headed out to bruxie so the two girls could try it out. everybody liked their food! yum! i love that place!

london rose

gel gave birth to her beautiful baby girl yesterday, so as soon as anthony got home from work today, we went to the hospital to visit. it felt weird because the last time we were there was when i had my baby! i thought london looked SOOOO small, but gel and jason pointed out that reese was even smaller (in terms of weight and height). so weird! he's only seven weeks old and he's already changed so much. but anyway, we were happy to see the whole launius gang.. especially reese's future girlfriend!

carson buffet

my cousin, elgin, and her family are moving to missouri so we had a going-away lunch at carson buffet today.
