october 2014

best month ever! haha. well, most tiring month ever, but blessed nonetheless. i started working from home on the 12th and it was such a special time for me to enjoy my last few days with reesey as my only baby. it was nice to just let him be a baby. once weston came, it's like we forgot that he's still just a 2 year old. i'm so thankful for the memories we made at the start of my maternity leave. 

and now, on october 29, just one day before my due date, weston levi mejia finally decided to make his grand entrance! he was born at 5:19a, coming in at a whopping 8lbs2oz, and 19" long. i have no idea how i made a baby that big. he is such a sweet baby so far. we are in love. 

obviously it's a huge change and we are still learning how to adjust. but yup, my heart has officially multiplied in size!! reesey, daddy, and i are so happy to meet you, wes!!

september 2014

september was another busy month. we finally got to see the giant rubber duck in san pedro. wrenny keeps getting cuter and cuter. reese started private swimming lessons and is doing so well. anthony did his last race of the season. we started working on the boys' rooms (reesey got a big boy bed but there's still a lot to do in weston's room). we changed weston's middle name to levi (still has LEE). and lastly, we had a tiny baby sprinkle with just our closest relatives. we felt silly having a baby shower the second time around but they insisted. we got lots of practical baby goods, which is very helpful. but mostly it was nice to see everyone and celebrate our pending arrival. 

august 2014

i love warm weather, which we took advantage of by heading to the beach a couple times. and warm summer nights are the best, especially when spent at fun places like the oc fair. we also squeezed in lots of naps. it's sad that summer is winding down to an end, but we are also looking forward to all the treats that autumn will bring.. especially a little boy named weston!

july 2014

we had a lot of summertime fun this month! we celebrated fourth of july at splash water park in la mirada, celebrated london's 2nd birthday, went up north to sonoma county for a mini vacation where anthony completed his first half ironman, spent a whole week with russ and rena, and three whole weeks with silla! fun!

june 2014

june was a fun month. we celebrated father's day (and my dad's birthday) at an indian buffet for lunch, and dinner at chego per anthony's request. we were very happy to meet baby wrenny (june 3) and baby mattox (june 21). aaaand we found out that we will be having another boy, who we immediately named - weston riley mejia!

may 2014

may came and went so quickly! we celebrated reese's birthday (on my grandma's 98th birthday!) with a minion beach party in our back yard. we had hawaiian food and shave ice, and reese had so much fun. i can't believe my baby is 2!

april 2014

april was another extremely busy month. i had crazy deadlines at work and anthony started his new job at oakley. we did manage to sneak some fun into the mix. we spent easter weekend in minnesota with these crazy kids!

march 2014

surprise! this month we told our families that reese is finally going to be a big brother! we are very excited, but reese is like, "meh."

february 2014

february went by quick! i was very busy at work, so nothing too exciting. but the highlight of our month was a quick little trip to san diego with the gruezos. we had dinner and ice cream saturday night, and then spent the next day at the zoo. reese loved it. he loves animals so it was exciting for him to be able to see so many of his favorites in real life! we were most excited for him to see the tiger, which is his favorite animal, but sadly the tiger didn't feel like coming out. but he really enjoyed the elephants, monkeys, and giraffes.

january 2014

not sure if anyone still checks this but i've decided to pop in once a month with a short update. january was a fun month. we took a family trip to las vegas to take advantage of a free offer that anthony got from the cosmopolitan: three free nights, $100 for dining, and $300 for gaming. anthony ended up winning $360 using his gaming credit! on the way there, we counted it out and although it was reese's first trip, anthony and i have been to vegas together 22 times now! crazy.

another highlight was when jennifer, serena, and russell visited! we always have so much fun with them and always look forward to next time. russy didn't like reese very much, but that's okay. one day they'll be bff. =)
