nothing bundt cakes

i've been wanting to try this place for a few weeks now, and today i finally had time to go. since we both can't eat chocolate, i got a pecan praline bundlet for anthony and a lemon bundlet for myself. both were really good! until today, anthony never knew what a bundt cake was. when he saw the nothing bundt cakes bag on the table, he was so excited to eat his dessert. and then when he opened it, he said something like, "this is the weirdest cupcake i've ever seen." haha.

get shaved

the "get shaved" truck just opened up a permanent store location in torrance just two minutes away from my house! how cool is that?! venus, chad, and i went to check it out. i'm so happy that i can now get their shaved ice whenever i want!

taco tuesday

i stopped by my parents' house today 'cause my dad was having technical difficulties. haha. it was a really quick fix, but he still insisted on doing something for me in return. soooo, this is what i got! thanks for the tacos, daddy!

dexter

sorry, no exercise or housework today. i spent the rest of my evening with a bag of chips and two episodes of dexter.

yard work

our afternoon consisted of raking leaves and pulling weeds. while we were out in the yard, i said hi to three of my neighbors for the first time. this is what i looked like.. tomboy outfit, giant shovel, and all! a fine first impression indeed.

engagement party

today we went to kevin & nina's engagement party at buca di beppo in irvine. their families and everyone else in the bridal entourage met for the first time. aww, exciting times for the soon-to-be newlyweds! (= their big day is right around the corner.

m+h special

all i brought for lunch today was green beans. an hour after eating them i felt unsatisfied, but not necessarily hungry, so i solved that problem by eating this delicious shaved ice + frozen yogurt combo from milk + honey. s'good.

seafood town

gennie and i had dinner at seafood town. everytime we eat there, we get seated in the same booth. and we always order the same thing.. salt & pepper fish and sauteed green beans. the only uncertainty was what our fortunes would say! haha. gennie's was sweet: "keep in mind that home is where the heart is". but mine? "lotto or not? that is the question". now that's deep.

yee yeeeee!! i got my goodies today! and btw, yesterday forever 21 announced that the total amount that they raised in last friday's fundraiser was $2,012,112. yee again!!!
