nico the thriller

doesn't nico look like he came right out of an 80's music video? haha. i think so! anyway, we took jazmin on a field trip today. first, she came to our house for a little while. she pretty much just walked around and smelled everything in the house. next, we brought her to my parents' house so my family could finally meet her. she was super hyper 'cause we let her run free around the yard. after dropping her back off at home, we went to Good Friday mass. mass was good! God is good! and so was dinner. we ate at blenders.. so predictable, i know. (=

marah the nurse

anthony was supposed to meet me out in cerritos after work today. while i waited for him to arrive, i killed time by going to chick fil a and target. then i found out that venus and marah were right up the street at guppy's! i stopped by to say hello and to eat some of their brick toast. mmm! while i was there, i found out that marah is now officially a nurse! congrats, marah!!

so after guppy's, anthony and i headed over to brea to meet up with carla and geof at the improv. tonight's show was funny! the headliner's name was brad williams, but my favorite comedian of the night was chris d'elia. he had me cracking up at his german joke. hilarious! after the show, we hung out at Yardhouse for a bit. fun night! let's do it again!

priscilla the spring breaker

today silla came over to sleep over. well, she didn't really hang out with me. she went with anthony to grace's house. i was told that jazmin loved her feet. so when she came back, i took this picture of her. after, she said she was sleepy, but now she's wide awake telling me (word for word) what to type. she is tired and wants to go to bed now. this concludes her caption. good night.

carleazy the japanesey

tonight i enjoyed a lovely evening with carla. we had dinner at versailles. the garlic chicken was extra garlicky. yum! after dinner, we got boba. i love boba.

carla just got back from a trip to japan. it was great to see her, but i could hardly understand the words coming out of her mouth because she picked up a japanese accent while she was out there. sike! the only thing japanese that she brought with her tonight was a bag full of goodies. yay!

jack bauer the mii

mondays are fun days! not really. but we like mondays because we get to watch heroes and 24. so while i was watching jack bauer save the world earlier, i remembered all the mii characters i've made on the wii. so far, i think i've made about 75 of them. i happen to think my jack bauer mii is quite impressive. but hey, this is coming from a girl who thinks that mii-making skills are something to be proud of. ha!

gabe the superhero

we went to another baby shower today! today's shower was for anthony's cousin, leanne. her oldest son, gabe, was very willing to be my face of the day. in fact, he gave me about 15 poses to choose from. haha. this is gabe acting as a superhero.

gabe is one of the smartest little boys ever. leanne once told me that when he was only a year old, he was already taking care of himself. instead of waking her up early in the morning, he would just walk to the fridge, grab his bottle, and then watch TV until she felt like getting out of bed. letting mommy sleep in? now that's a superhero!

kaelib the rebel

we went to kat's baby shower today. getting this picture was not easy. when i asked the soon-to-be big brother if i could take his picture, he did not comply. instead, he pushed me onto the grass, punched my camera, dropped my camera on the floor, and had another boy join in on the brutal attack. but at least i have something to show for it: this blurry picture (and the grass stains on my jeans). one funny thing i learned earlier is that kaelib wants to name his baby sister Hot Shot. haha. with a name like that, she's sure to be as tough as her big brother.

for the record, i totally deserved the smack down. kaelib is nice. he just didn't want his picture taken. (=

jeric the serenader

we had a fun night out with the homies. the plan was to have dinner at Cafe Hiro and then watch fast and furious at LB towne center. unfortunately, Cafe Hiro was packed, so we ended up eating at a sushi place next door. and then, since the movie was sold out, we had to watch the 12:30 showing instead! geez! so in the mean time, we went back to the calderon house where we were entertained by youtube videos and serenaded by jeric's guitar-playing skills.

ps. i actually enjoyed the movie. haha!! it was not as lame as i thought it would be.

mr. belding the principal

tonight we went to gallery 1988 in LA for a tv-themed art show hosted by mr. belding (or as rianne likes to call him.. mr. balding). i felt like i knew him, or like he was supposed to know who i was when i said hi to him. but when he didn't, i was like, "hey hey hey hey hey, what is going on here?!" sike. jason biggs was there, too, but no one really seemed to care. haha. after the show, we had dinner at fatburger with nina and kevin. chicken wings! yay!

kevin the april fool

after two weeks of planning and preparation, the funniest/meanest april fools joke went down while we were at guppy's earlier. denise and gennie decided to fool kevin and ron this year by pretending that they didn't like nina (and vice versa). so this whole time, they were all building up the drama by telling the boys about the supposed tension going around. i even had to lie to kevin earlier when he asked me about the situation. both guys knew that tonight was going to be awkward, but they were in for a surprise when nina and denise actually started going at it. it was great! they both deserve academy awards for the performances they put on. i keep picturing how nervous ron looked during the fight, and it is cracking me up. but nothing can compare to the look kevin had on his face after they yelled out, "april fools!" it was hilarious and heart-breaking at the same time. all along i thought he would've laughed after finding out it was a joke, but instead he looked super hurt and stressed out. =( hahahha. oh man.. soooo good!
